Is simple better?

Proverbs 15:17 states the following “Better a bread crust shared in love than a slab of prime rib served in hate.”

Let’s be honest – most people could probably do without the crusts of bread, but would probably love a piece of prime rib. The hearty meat makes you feel full and satisfied, while the crumbling edge of the bread just holds together a plain taste of filler food.

In sales it is easy to go for the big kahuna – the prime rib – even if it means dealing with some major headaches and less rewarding feeling. I mean, naturally, you want to make as much commission as possible. However, what I have found, is that when you leave the one piece of prime rib out on the table for someone else you can often find several pieces of crust that will fill your commission check while making you feel satisfied.  It also creates a longer lasting relationship with your client.
